Maize

(Corn) 

Maize​, also know as corn is the cereal grain, which separated the kernels from the maize ear on a stalk. Good for both human and animal consumption, different types of maize are often used to produce ethanol, syrup, starch, cereal, whiskey and other consumable products.

About 9,000 years ago, maize was domesticated by the indigenous communities of Mesoamericans. As maize became a staple diet, humans transition from foraging, hunting and horticutural to a farming society. Today, maize is of the most important staple food in the world, with the total production exceeding of wheat or rice.
